Johnson University Summer

In the summer months, both Johnson University Tennessee and Johnson University Florida campus lives change from the average day-to-day environment our students create to a lively, event-filled summer full of retreats and conferences for the young and old.

The Smoky Mountain Women’s Retreat kicked off the exciting summer events at the Tennessee campus. Women gathered together for a fun and relaxing weekend to enjoy inspiring workshops and dynamic worship. The weekend was packed with fellowship and celebration of Christ and one another.

Senior Saints in the Smokies is one of JUTN’s most celebrated and cherished summer retreats.  Senior adults came to refuel their souls, join in community, and be entertained while they experienced the beauty of Johnson University Tennessee’s campus. For three weeks, seniors enjoyed the 2015 theme “Travel Around the World,” where they shared their favorite international experiences and learned about Johnson alumni missionaries around the world. Guests learned from several of our Johnson professors and left behind their own blessings with the Johnson community.

With a little change of pace, JUTN welcomed three weeks of CIY for middle and high school students. CIY (Christ in Youth) held three conferences on our Tennessee campus, one week of CIY Move and two weeks of CIY Mix, aimed to amplify the call on students’ lives to become Kingdom workers.  These young students had a great time worshipping, growing in faith, and exploring the beauty of JUTN.

The JUFL campus also joined in the excitement this summer by hosting The Event for the first time on the Florida campus. The Event is a Johnson University sponsored conference of high energy worship, outdoor activities, service projects, devotions, and workshops for high school and college-aged students. Students had fun in the Florida sun while learning from top JUFL professors.

No matter which season or what campus, there never seems to be down time at Johnson University! We hope you enjoy your summer as much as we’ve enjoyed ours!  To learn more about Johnson University summer events or any upcoming events, visit our News & Events pages for Tennessee and Florida
