Johnson University hires Coach Brandon Perry to lead the JU Royal's Men's Basketball Team

The JU community welcomes Brandon Perry as the men’s basketball coach at JUTN. As a former high school coach and athletic camp director, Perry comes to JU with a rich history of coaching experience. However, coaching is not Perry’s only talent. He has been a collegiate athlete, a youth minister, and a sports camp director.  Perry is also a dedicated husband and father. His family moved to Knoxville in 2013 for his wife’s OB/GYN residency at UT Medical Center. Currently, he is the senior minister at Thorn Grove Christian Church. He is also a dedicated student, as he is earning a master’s degree in New Testament degree with an emphasis on Spiritual Formation at Johnson University. Brandon Perry brings a commitment to the continuation of excellence in character, witness, and athletics to JU that will further the basketball team’s growth and level of success. Perry says, “I’m excited to be coaching here and look forward to getting to know know our team. Previous coaches did an incredible job, not only bringing in quality players, but also quality men who have enriched the Johnson Community. Continuing in that tradition we want to compete and to win at Johnson, but more importantly, we want to invest in the lives of young men. We want to build a program that continues to bring pride to Johnson University.” We are excited to welcome the Perry family to the JU Royals family!
