Intercultural Studies Minor

The Intercultural Studies Minor equips students to minister cross-culturally in a variety of settings. It also allows students in other professional programs to develop complementary skills in Intercultural Studies. Such skills can enhance educational skills, ministry, teaching, nonprofit management, youth ministry, missions, and other fields.

Students in the Intercultural Studies minor will benefit from Johnson’s accreditation, affordable tuition, and an experienced and engaged faculty dedicated to the spiritual formation and professional preparedness of each student. This minor may be combined with any of Johnson’s Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts programs. Students can choose from a wide range of Intercultural Studies course options, completing 21 credit hours for the minor at Johnson’s Tennessee campus, Florida campus or online.

When students complete this program, they will be able to do the following:

  • Understand biblical, theological, and missiological foundations for their chosen ministry field.
  • Engage in missional ministry within world contexts at the entry level.
