The Mass Communication Minor equips students to use communication skills and media technologies. It also allows students in other professional programs to develop complementary skills in media communication. Such skills can enhance ministry, nonprofit management, youth ministry, teaching, missions, and other fields.
Students in the Mass Communication minor will benefit from Johnson’s accreditation, affordable tuition, and an experienced and engaged faculty passionate about each student’s success. Students can choose from a wide range of Communication course options, completing 24 credit hours for the minor.
When students complete this program, they will be able to do the following:
- Understand the social, legal, and historical impact of mass communication on culture.
- Produce multi-track audio recordings, enhance audio for video, produce live events, produce MIDI content, or produce Web content.
- Produce journalistic content and produce video content.
