Strategic Ministry (BA/BS)
Effective ministry in contemporary cultures requires a heart for mission, a head filled with biblical wisdom, and hands equipped to lead Christ's church and expand His kingdom in His world. The Strategic Ministry degree at Johnson University involves a partnership between the University and the church that equips students for this kind of effective, strategic Christian leadership.
The degree includes a 9-month residency at either Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV) in Peoria, Arizona, at one of several churches in Indianapolis, Indiana, or at Real Life Christian Church in Orlando, Florida. Students complete a leadership core and can choose a concentration from among: church administration, church planting, intercultural studies, pastoral ministry, youth ministry, children and family, special needs, sports management, or worship/production. Throughout the degree program, residents are mentored by Johnson University faculty and staff.
When students complete this program, they will be able to do the following:
Model the spiritual maturity of a Christ-like servant-leader necessary for kingdom work.
Think, plan, and lead strategically to advance the kingdom in their communities and their world.
Lead ministries through effective teaching of Scripture and careful management of people and resources.
